In rare circumstances, the connection is hard to establish between Pocket Drone Control™ and the drone being flown. This guide shows you how to resolve this problem out in the field. We recommend a four-part process to re-establish connection with the drone. We assume this first:

  • You are flying an Agrible authorized drone.
  • The drone has power.
  • The flight controller has power.
  • The iOS device is connected with the usb to lighting connector cable.
  • The iOS device has power.

Step 1. Turn off all components

  1. Turn off the drone by pushing the power button once and then again holding the power button. This is the DJI On/Off method.
  2. Turn off the flight controller by pushing the power button once and then again holding the power button. This is the DJI On/Off method.
  3. Unplug the connector cable from the controller and the iOS device.
  4. Open the iOS device and double press the Home button, scroll to Pocket Drone Control, and then swipe up to Force Quit Pocket Drone Control.
  5. Now a connection can be re-established.

Step 2. Restart components in sequence

  1. Turn on the drone by pushing the power button once and then again holding the power button. This is the DJI On/Off method.
  2. Once the drone is running, then turn on the flight controller by pushing the power button once and then again holding the power button. This is the DJI On/Off method.
  3. Connect the cable from the flight controller to the iOS device.
  4. Start the iOS device and start the Pocket Drone Control app.

Step 3. Fly a Mission

  1. Select a field to fly a mission and start the flight.
  2. Pocket Drone Control should now have connection to the drone and will allow the launch mission to proceed.
